Zahra Ahmed

Zahra qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and specialises in Personal Injury litigation.  Having previously worked at Levenes Solicitors for nine years, where she established and headed the Somali team, Zahra joined other specialist solicitors to establish Miya Solicitors and expand on her achievements.

Zahra has developed an expertise for handling complex claims such as fatal claims, industrial diseases, debilitating spinal injuries, medical negligence, accidents at work and claims concerning overseas accidents.

Zahra has a straightforward approach to work and a determination to deliver the best results for her clients. She has established herself as a litigator who is able to handle a challenging caseload, both through negotiations and the courts. Notable cases that Zahra worked on include a case where the client sustained serious brain injury resulting in a settlement of over a quarter of million pounds in compensation.

Besides her work in litigation, Zahra is active in the Somali community. Widely recognised as the most high profile Solicitor in the Somali Community, Zahra has presented a television programme advising members of the Somali community on various legal issues they have encountered in the UK. Being an individual who thrives on discussions and interactions with others, Zahra was able to bring serious issues facing the Somali community to the forefront and engage in lively exchanges with callers on air.

Further to her media work, Zahra has developed a strong relationship with community leaders and charitable groups both nationally and internationally. Zahra enjoys volunteering her time and experience to organisations that aid the Somali community.
