The Ministry of Justice has implemented new digital reforms to streamline civil court procedures in England and Wales. As of 19 June 2025, Practice Direction 184 introduces enhanced requirements for the Online Civil Money Claims (OCMC) and Damages Claims Portal (DCP) systems.
These changes include new documentation protocols and stricter timelines for electronic submissions. The move is part of a wider push to modernise and digitalise the UK’s legal infrastructure, aiming to reduce delays and improve access to justice.
